Deck the Halls!

Don't forget that Saturday, December 3rd at 10am is  "Deck the Halls" at the church. There will be a tree to decorate, wreaths to hang, and garlands to put up! The carols will be playing and there will be goodies and drinks for all! Hope to see you all...the more the merrier!

Snow cancellation contact numbers

If you would liked to be contacted by phone in the event that church is cancelled due to snow or bad weather, please give Jodi the number at which you would like to be contacted so that you will be on the snow list. These numbers will only be used in the event of a service cancellation. Thank you!

Christmas Caroling on December 4th!

On December 4th at 1:00 p.m., the Sunday School will go on our annual Christmas Caroling here in Raymond. There will be a soup luncheon at noon, with a birthday cake for Jesus before the caroling. After the caroling, we will return to the church for hot chocolate. All are welcome to join in and bring cheer to members of our community! If you have questions, please see Lorna.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Don't forget that we are collecting non-perishables for our annual Thanksgiving baskets that we put together for those in need in our community. If you would like to donate food, please put it into the collection box at the rear of the sanctuary. If you would like to donate money for the perishables that we will buy for the baskets, please write out a check marked with "Thanksgiving Baskets" on it. The baskets will be distributed on Sunday, November 20th. Please contact a Deacon if you know a family who needs a basket. Thank you for your donation to help the people of our community!

Women's Group Fundraiser

The Women's Group will be sponsoring a fund raiser featuring the Old Farmer's Almanac. There will be a display showcasing the items available for your holiday needs for the next three Sundays. The program will close on 12/4 and the items will be at church on 12/11 for pick up. We will have brochures on Sunday that you can take to assist us in reaching our goal. The top two sellers will receive a gift. This past year, the women's group has helped families in need in our community and the funds we raise will help us continue this practice.

Membership Classes to be Held in January

The Diaconate will be holding membership classes in January for anyone who is interested in becoming a member of the church. In the class, we will review the history of the Congregational Church, the history of our church, our faith statement, our by-laws, and what it means to be a member. If you are interested in taking this class, please see Kathy. We will choose a time that will work out for all involved.

Harvest Dinner

Many thanks to everyone who cooked and helped out at our Harvest Dinner! It was a delicious success! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Annual Meeting on Sunday, November 13

Don't forget that the Annual Meeting in on Sunday, November 13th! There will be a potluck lunch after the morning church service, and the meeting will follow. All are encouraged to attend and be a part of the governance of our church.
