Annual Thanksgiving Baskets

We are almost back to that time when we will be putting together our annual Thanksgiving baskets again!  We are coordinating with Raymond Community Action as we have in the past to reach out to people in need.  We are kicking off our Thanksgiving basket collection at the Harvest Dinner on October 28th this year.  Bring a non-perishable food item to put in the box to go in a basket for those in need!  After the dinner, the collection box will then be available in the back of the sanctuary.  The Sunday before Thanksgiving (November 18th), we will assemble the baskets and distribute them so people will enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.  Help make a happy Thanksgiving possible for others in our community!

Harvest Dinner on October 28th

The Deacons will be hosting a Harvest Dinner on the evening of Sunday, October 28th, at 5:00pm.  Come join us for fellowship and wonderful food!  A sign up sheet will be posted so people can sign up for what they would like to bring to share.  The dinner will be free and open to the public, so invite your friends!  Space is limited, so please call the church to reserve your space and so we can plan on plenty of delicious food.

World Communion Sunday

On Sunday, October 7th, we will be celebrating World Communion Sunday to celebrate Holy Communion with Christians all around the world.  Come join us in this lovely tradition of Christian unity during our Sunday morning worship service.

Ice Cream Social October 7th to Celebrate Sunday School

Sunday School will start on Sunday, October 7th at 9:30am this fall.  We will have an ice cream social at coffee hour that day to celebrate the start of our Sunday School.  Come join us!

Mark Your Calendars: Missions Rummage Sale on October 6th

The Missions Committee is holding  a rummage sale on Saturday, October 6th, from 9 am to 2 pm at the church.  There will be lots of great things available, including warm winter clothes.

The committee is looking for volunteers to help sort the clothes for the sale.  If you want to help, please speak to a member of the committee (Kathy, Dee, Tony, and Jodi).  They are also happy to accept donations of warm winter clothing and coats, so check your closets and let them know!

Painting Party!

Volunteers are needed to help the Trustees paint the outside of the Social Hall.  Many hands make light work!  They will be painting on the 23rd and 30th of September.  Sign-up sheets are at the back of the sanctuary, or talk to Mike Katz for more information.  Thanks for your help!

Fall Back to Regular Service Hours

We will be switching from our summer worship service hours back to our regular service hours on September 9th, 2012. The morning worship service will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m., with Sunday School from 9:30-10:15 a.m. for all ages. As a reminder, Sunday School classes will begin on October 7th.
